Avon MCC T.C. announce their Christmas Dinner on Saturday
12th December 2020 @ Sharpness Docks Workers Club.
The Menu:
Starters – Prawn Cocktail in a homemade Marie Rose sauce served with brown bread and butter Creamy Garlic mushrooms served with ciabatta bread
Homemade potato and leek soup with rustic roll
Brussels pate with crostini’s and onion chutney
Mains - Turkey with pig in blanket
Roasted Beef
Pheasant Pie
Broccoli and potato bake - Vegetarian
All mains served with Roast potatoes, honey glazed parsnips, homemade stuffing, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and homemade gravy!
Desserts – Christmas Pudding with a choice of custard, cream or brandy sauce
Apple crumble with a choice of custard, cream or ice cream
Strawberry Eton mess
Selection of Cheese and biscuits served with grapes and chutney (£2.00 supplement)
The total cost including one night’s parking is £25 per person. Initially booking will be restricted to Avon group members. A £10 deposit per persons required by Friday, 30th October 2020 with completed downloadable booking form from Avon web page www.avongroup.org.uk . Balance to be paid by Friday 20th November or sooner.
From 1st November booking of any remaining places will be open to all MCC members. If you wish to extend your stay you may do so by arranging directly with the Dockers Club.
All the above arrangements are dependent on the conditions prevailing at the time complying with Government rules and regulations.
Directions:
From M5 Junction 13 or 14 go West to A38. From Junction 13 turn South or from Junction 14 turn North. Follow A38 and turn West onto A4066 to Berkeley. Before Berkeley at roundabout take 2nd exit sign post Sharpness Docks. Docks in 3 miles.

Message from Chairman - Sue Turl:
Bristol & South Glos. have today been placed in Tier 3 by the Government. As these areas are where most of our members who have booked for Avon Groups Christmas meal live, sadly it will not be possible to proceed with our planned TC at Sharpness so we will have to CANCEL. Take care & stay safe everyone & hopefully we will be able to meet up before too long.
"Unless return is requested in the near future, all cheques submitted as payment for the Christmas meal will be shredded to save cost to the Group. "
